Parma-based B-Corp company [ comfort zone ] has announced this week the launch of an innovative new CO2 negative face and body range, which has been designed to reduce and offset the impact of beauty product development on climate change. Sacred Nature is a bio-regenerative line, certified according to COSMOS ORGANIC & NATURAL standards, and eco-designed according to criteria that ensure a positive impact on the environment.

“Overpopulation of the planet and our consumption habits are annually eroding more natural resources than the Earth is able to produce and regenerate, and this phenomenon is occurring at an ever faster rate.” said founder of [ comfort zone ], Dr. Davide Bollati.

Dr. Davide continues: “Human impact has significantly altered 75% of the earth’s environment and about 66% of the marine environment, putting around 1 million animal and plant species at risk of extinction. The constantly increasing levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere caused by human activities, is at the root of the climate crisis that has afflicted our planet and is threatening the biodiversity and equilibrium of many natural ecosystems.”

Research into formulations began in the [ comfort zone ] open-air laboratory, the Scientific Garden at our Village in Parma, Italy, which for the first time have adopted direct control of the supply chain for the supply of active molecules. This has made it possible to guarantee the highest standards of performance and transparency, while involving small local businesses in active ingredient cultivation. These businesses work the land in a way that respects plants’ natural cycle, paying careful attention to biodiversity issues and regenerative agriculture practices.

This innovative and super-sustainable research has led to the creation of Scientific Garden Extract™, a complex of three bio-fermented extracts of myrtle, elderberry and pomegranate, packed with antioxidant phytoactive ingredients, which – combined with additional specific biotechnological active ingredients for each individual formulation in the line – defend the skin against environmental aggressors and stimulate cell renewal, ensuring optimal skin balance and resilience, as well as prolonged youth.

Sacred Nature offers an effective face and body homecare routine with soft textures and a natural scent inspired by a walk in the Scientific Garden, are suitable for all skin conditions and has been clinically tested for the most sensitive skin.

The antioxidant and regenerating professional youth-enhancing face treatment is offered in two versions that can be personalized according to skin conditions and the time available (25 or 55 mins). It is ideal for revitalizing the skin and ensuring that it looks young, healthy and radiant.

The packaging has also been designed with a sustainable focus, using only clear glass, metals and recycled paper, materials which can be effectively recycled all over the world and which do not degrade in the environment, damaging the food chain. The line is CO2 negative thanks to choices made in design and production, as well as to the proprietary Ethio Trees CO2 compensation project. Finally, through our participation in the 1% for the Planet initiative, we donate 1% of proceeds from the sale of Sacred Nature to finance environmental and social sustainability projects.
