Details of the Floating Spa, situated on the 800-year-old private Monkey Island at Bray, have been revealed.
Set in a traditional riverboat on the River Thames, YTL Hotels’ Spa at the Monkey Island Estate in Bray-on-Thames is scheduled to open in February 2019.
The Monkey Island Estate spans seven acres and will include The Floating Spa, housed on the water in a bespoke barge. It will offer three treatment rooms, a wheelhouse reception and an Elixir Bar. As Monkey Island was founded by monks, all treatments have been created to fit the setting.
British spa brand Moss of the Isles has created bespoke treatments including a Floating Massage, which mirrors the effect of rocking on water and the Garden Herbs and Magic Peat, which reflects the lush and fertile grounds of Monkey Island. ISUN Alive & Ageless skincare will also create both massages and facials for the spa.
