Artisan Cornish brand Made for Life Organics, has announced today it has become the first British spa brand to achieve B Corporation certification, joining a host of international companies that are reinventing business, by pursuing purpose as well as profit.
Made for Life Organics has been certified by B Lab after meeting rigorous social and environmental standards which represent its commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit. The B Corp certification includes the whole business and covers five key impact areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. To complete the certification, the company must legally embed their commitment to purpose beyond profit in their company articles.
Made for Life Organics joins a community of 255 certified B Corps in the UK including well-known brands such as innocent, Pukka Herbs, Abel & Cole, Divine, and The Body Shop, and over 3,200 worldwide.
