 New COO for Six Senses

Guy Heywood has been appointed to the role of chief operating officer at Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas.

 

Heywood joins the group from his previous role as the chief operating officer for Alila Hotels and Resorts, a position he held for eight years. He has 30 years’ experience within the international hotel and tourism industry, having worked at InterContinental Sydney, The Regent Sydney, Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi, Four Seasons Hotel Singapore and Amanresorts Indonesia, Americas and Caribbean.

 

Heywood says: “Six Senses has set new standards for thoughtful luxury, guest experience and environmental practices. This role is the ideal culmination of my past experiences all amalgamated into one.”

 

Six Senses also recently appointment of Rebecca Soloff as director of sales and marketing at Six Senses New York, the group’s first North American property, which is currently under development. Soloff joins Six Senses with more than 17 years’ experience in sales and marketing, having worked with The New York Palace Hotel and The Lowell Hotel, New York.

 

Six Senses New York will form a key element of The XI – two unique, twisting towers designed by world-renowned architect Bjarke Ingels and located in the heart of the city’s vibrant Chelsea neighbourhood, between Manhattan’s Hudson River and The High Line.
