P&O Cruises will add a luxurious wellness facility to the new Iona cruise liner when it launches in May next year.
The Iona’s spa will include a salt steam room – a first for the P&O Cruises fleet – and destination themed treatments. There will also be two infinity whirlpools in the open-air deck area, The Retreat, and an experiential retail boutique dedicated to skin, body and hair care.
Locally-inspired therapies will include the Nordic Cleanse (a detoxifying treatment incorporating acupressure back massage and a body and face mask) and the Baltic and Ice Massage (a deep tissue massage using warm and cool stones).
P&O Cruises president, Paul Ludlow, says: “Our new spa on Iona will be ideal for those looking to make the most of their ‘me-time’. From a restorative steam in our new salt room, to the relaxing qualities of a Nordic-inspired massage, guests will feel the benefits whilst relaxing in this stylish space.”
Iona will set sail in May 2020 and will sail itineraries to and from the Norwegian Fjords in its maiden season.
