A new ESPA Sleep Ritual Spa Treatment is to be offered at the Slieve Donard Resort and Spa and the Culloden Estate and Spa. Pitched as the ultimate unwind, the ritual is designed to allow the body time to relax and renew; an essential element to living well.
The tailor-made Sleep Ritual treatment recognises that sleep is vital for physical, emotional and mental wellbeing yet its importance is often underestimated in the rush of modern-day life. The ritual includes a warming deep tissue massage, using a combination of hot stones and warmed fragrant ESPA oil, and concludes with a soothing scalp massage.
The ESPA brand has also expanded its treatment offering this month, with the addition of the Strength and Resilience massage, a new signature treatment designed to target and relieve tired and aching muscles.
The treatment is inspired by the resilience of Painted Lady butterflies, which fly thousands of miles from Africa to the UK every spring. The massage features gentle strokes and swift movements to symbolise the butterflies’ flight and is designed to revive tired muscles. The treatment involves being ‘cocooned’ in warm towels and given a soothing massage and incorporates yogic stretches, a reflex zone foot massage, and a sinus release and scalp massage.
Two new products, the Muscle Rescue Balm and the Fitness Shower Oil, are designed to complement the massage and are formulated with coconut oil, winged kelp, peppermint, eucalyptus oil, clove bud oil and West Indian bay.
