Indian Hotels Company has introduced the Taj brand to Rishikesh, with the opening of the Taj Rishikesh Resort and Spa in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand – it’s third hotel in the state.
The resort offers a 20,000 sq ft wellness sanctuary, the Jiva Spa & Yoga pavilion. Jiva Spa is rooted in India’s rich and ancient wellness traditions, offering holistic treatments and programmes including yoga and meditation.
Located in the foothills of the Himalayas, the resort is 30km from Rishikesh – renowned for being the spiritual and yoga capital of the world. It is spread across 12.5 acres of terraced gardens on the bank of the river Ganges and offers 79 rooms and villas.
