The Gharieni Group has appointed Ally Chong and Thorsten Lipfert, both to business development roles.
Chong will be operations manager for the group in the Asia Pacific region. She is based in Hong Kong and has more than 14 years’ experience in hotel operations and spa development, having worked with Dream Cruises and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
Lipfert will become international business development manager at Gharieni, based in Spain. He began his career as a spa director in Portugal, and also worked at the Kempinski Marbella and as ESPA spa director at the Fairmont Baku in Azerbaijan. Lipfert is trained as a physical therapist, and will support Gharieni’s training programmes for the Quartz Table and the Wellness Massage 4D.
Sammy Gharieni, founder and CEO of Gharieni Group, says: “With Chong and Lipfert, we have won two experienced spa professionals to cover two important key positions. While Lipfert will focus on the European market, Chong will manage operations for the Asia Pacific market.”
