Yorkshire’s floating resort

 Yorkshire’s floating resort

Plans for a floating, eco-friendly wellness resort in South Yorkshire have been given the go ahead.

The Tyram Lakes Hotel, Spa & Resort, designed by Baca Architects, will cost an estimated £20m and be situated on 65 acres of lakes in the Humberside Peatlands.

The Spa is set to provide one of the foremost leisure facilities in the region, fusing Eastern aesthetics with Western methodologies. There will be six treatment rooms, a gym and two swimming pools. Guests will also be able to use the on-site lake for wild swimming.

The project, which has been in the pipeline since 2016, has set its sights on exhibiting an eco-friendly and sustainable concept without compromising on luxury.

All of the Resort’s eco Lodges are designed to seamlessly blend into the landscape and each lodge will have a rooftop garden fitted with solar panels as well as built-in filtration systems that will recycle lakewater.
