A new standard in beauty training

A new standard in beauty training

Known for bringing the Jessica brand to Britain for the first time in 1992, and in doing so sparking a beauty revolution, Susan Gerrard has now launched the Susan Gerrard Beauty Academy.

Created to provide excellence in education, the Academy will deliver real-world learning on everything from specialist nail care to complete beauty therapy. Students will be able to obtain VTCT-recognised and certified qualifications and will be offered work experience at inspiring spas and salons, plus the chance to be part of backstage session teams for photo shoots and events like London Fashion Week.

“I’m proud to have been a part of our industry’s history and excited to be shaping its future with the next generation of beauty experts,” says Gerrard.

Courses will be held at Gerrard International’s purpose-built facility in Borehamwood, where students will learn to use leading professional brands, including Jessica Natural Nail Care, Mii Cosmetics and BeautyLab Skincare. There will be flexible study options to allow students to take part in the course around work or family.

VTCT-recognised qualifications will include a level 2 Diploma in Beauty therapy studies and personal interest short courses will be available from April 2018.
