Award-winning Lake District spa reopens

The award-winning Daffodil Hotel & Spa in the Lake District has reopened following a comprehensive refurbishment.

Located on the shore of Grasmere Lake, The Daffodil was one of many Grasmere businesses to be badly affected by the December 2015 floods which devastated parts of the Lake District and caused extensive flood damage.

The entire property has now benefitted from a full refurbishment including the hotel's reception, function rooms and lobby while the spa now features a new 10m thermal hydrotherapy pool, a sauna, a steamroom and a tepidarium as well as three treatment rooms and a treatment suite.

Leading spa supplier Germaine de Capuccini has also created a new menu of treatments which incorporate five signature Spa Journeys based on the five elements of nature. The new spa journeys have been designed to work alongside many of the favourite treatments that been popular with guests before the floods.

Germaine de Capuccini's Carole Jones said: “We have so missed the Daffodil. It's set in the most stunning location and the new spa facilities have a terrific team of therapists to complement them.”
