Black Friday Spa Sales Reach Record High at SpaSeekers

Black Friday Spa Sales Reach Record High at SpaSeekers

SpaSeekers, the UK’s longest-standing spa booking agency, has reported an increase in spa sales revenue of an impressive 93% this year versus 2019 figures which they have attributed to their Black Friday campaign.

Black Friday spa sales have always been a popular consumer purchase in the lead up to Christmas, but 2021 has seen them soar to a record high, with the number of individual orders up 51% and the average order value increasing by 27%.

Another record reported by the company is the number of visitors to the SpaSeekers website during the campaign period which ran from 26th Nov to 3rd Dec inclusive, with more than 500,000 unique visits.

Interestingly, the highest volumes of these sales were recorded in three areas, the Southeast, the Midlands and Yorkshire and the company also saw a noticeable increase in people buying more than one voucher, indicating that self-gifting has become more popular.

Announcing the figures, SpaSeekers’ Director, Jason Goldberg, said “We were expecting some good sales this Black Friday period but it really has outperformed our expectations. The biggest surprise is that the average basket spend has increased so much. What with these results and our new partnership with Tesco Clubcard, which has opened up a significant new audience, our spa partners are seeing even greater demand for their spa services.

SpaSeekers continued to invest in the business during the Pandemic to provide its spa partners and customers with a first-class service. This included a new website, rebrand and new booking system using the latest modern technologies & software. The Tesco Clubcard contract is part of the company’s ambitious new development programme to cement its position as the number one booking partner for UK spas.
