Bristol’s Aztec Hotel Appoints New Spa Manager

The Aztec Hotel and Spa in Bristol is delighted to announce the appointment of Hannah Rawlings as its new Spa Manager. With previous roles at other leading spa destinations, including The Bath Priory, The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa, Celtic Manor, and Barnsley House (part of the Calcot collection), Hannah has joined the Aztec Hotel and Spa team managing the everyday running of the spa and fourteen members of staff.

Hannah’s career in the spa industry started shortly after finishing secondary school, following a work experience opportunity fuelled her passion for the whole concept of wellbeing. Seeing others delivering memorable moments and exceptional treatments to guests, Hannah went on to train in NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Beauty Therapy, as well as leading spa brands such as Elemis, Decléor, ESPA. From there, she then progressed into management roles, where she states, “The magic really started to happen for me!” Hannah believes in taking the spa journey to the next level, and to provide guests with an unforgettable experience.

On starting her role at Aztec, her goal is work with the team to help guests deepen their understanding of the spa concept at Aztec, so they can go on to live a better, fuller wellness lifestyle, going beyond just a spa day. She will lead the team in delivering the highest standards, whilst enjoying a happy, fun working environment and being part of the customer journey, making memorable experiences for everyone.

Earlier this year, The Aztec Hotel and Spa was announced as the Best Boutique Spa in the UK in the much-coveted Good Spa awards 2022, and also has also enjoyed new facilities in the form of a new Himalayan Salt Sauna, and the opening of its brand new Relax Lounge.

On her appointment, Hannah said “The Spa at Aztec Hotel has really made a name for itself in the last year, so coming on board now is very exciting! I’m looking forward to being a part of the journey where we really transform the reputation of the spa into a wellness destination and being able to work with the fabulous staff and guests. During my time here, I hope to see more guests coming to use our spa for an overall experience of wellbeing.”

Asked about her favourite things about the spa, she said “I love how accessible our lifestyle membership is, as it has a little bit of everything to help someone elevate a gym membership into a full wellness experience. From our new Himalayan salt sauna, to our spa day guests being able to enjoy the Relax Lounge with tasty treats with options to add a glass of fizz from our drinks menu, it’s a great option for someone curious about delving into the world of wellness, and making themselves feel extra special.

And her favourite treatment? “The Caudalie Premier Cru facial is beautiful, and I love how it has the option to fit into your skin care routine at home.”
