Chiva Som re-opens

Chiva Som re-opens

Renowned wellness destination Chiva-Som has reopened after a six-month closure, during which it underwent its first major renovation since opening 23 years ago.

The overhaul included the Thai Pavilions, Emerald Room, Orchid Lounge, Library, Fitness Centre and Niranlada Medi-Spa.

The Thai Pavilions have been made more spacious, and refreshed with a contemporary Thai style while the Emerald Room has been made brighter with a new fresh, relaxing ambience.

The Fitness Centre has increased in size to incorporate a larger gym area and a separate stretching space with an array of new cardio equipment, functional and non-functional training equipment as well as a private training room and two fully-renovated Dance and Pilates Studios.

The Destination spa, which is in Hua Hin, 200km south of Bangkok, is adding to its results-driven treatments to complement the extensive remodelling. In the spa, LPG CELLU M6 Alliance has been added – new spa equipment that uses a non-invasive technique to mechanically stimulate the skin, releasing resistant fat and smoothing the appearance of cellulite.

Isokinetic exercise has been added, to help those needing to restore optimal form after injury or surgery. Under the Niranlada Aesthetic Beauty modality, Chiva-Som now offers a Bio Cellulose Coconut Mask, designed to reduce wrinkles and enhance skin firmness and plasticity. Three new Colonic Hydrotherapy treatments will be available and a Folate Assessment for Detoxification and Metabolic Health has also been added.

The fourth and final stage of refurbishments will take place between May and November 2019, when the resort will fully reopen.
