Exclusive Collection has announced two new appointments to strengthen their senior spa team. Charlene Phipp has been confirmed as spa manager at Pennyhill Park and Ian Mackie is the new Spa Operations Manager at South Lodge.
Phipp, who previously held similar positions at Foxhills and Merlin Entertainment, joined in 2021 and promptly accepted the ‘Best Hotel Spa’ award with Good Spa Guide. Mackie previously held the post of Managing Director at Natura Bisse UK & Ireland.
Mackie’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for South Lodge and the wider Exclusive Collection following their recent B Corp certification.

Whilst The Spa has undergone a tumultuous time since its launch in 2019, due to the pandemic, the success has been extremely pleasing. Membership has been the highlight, having surpassed our initial projections, and now is the perfect time for Ian to join the team and help us to take The Spa on to the next steps of its evolution.”
Celebrated for their excellence within the UK hotel spa network, South Lodge and sibling, Pennyhill Park are set to go from strength-to-strength under the tutelage of the new leadership teams. It is an exciting time for both properties as they look to develop innovative wellness concepts, whilst nurturing their first-class teams and exposing them to new benefits from spa access to a designated charity day from 2023.
