Scottish spa operator opens an outlet at the Apex City of London Hotel – its eighth spa and first outside of Scotland.

Part of a £2 million refurbishment of the Apex hotel, the new Pure spa will be managed independently, creating 20 new jobs delivering beauty and spa treatments.

The spa will feature five purpose-built treatment rooms, a nail and pedicure bar, a relaxation lounge and sauna.

The opening marks Pure’s second spa in partnership with Apex Hotels – the Apex Waterloo Place Spa in Edinburgh opened in 2015. Founded in 2002 in Edinburgh, Pure develops premium urban day spas for high street, hotels and shopping centres to meet the needs of busy city centre lifestyles.

Pure Spa & Beauty founder and CEO, Becky Woodhouse, says: ‘Since founding Pure our mission has been to democratise beauty and wellness, so that everyone can enjoy the benefits. Pure’s urban day spas all offer effective, exceptional treatments in convenient city-centre locations, with long opening hours, a simple booking process and fair pricing, so that treatments can slot easily into workday or weekend schedules. It’s a model that has been extremely successful in Scotland and we are thrilled to be bringing our first Pure spa to London.’

Brian Tapson, general manager at Apex City of London Hotel, says: ‘Edinburgh and London are both very competitive markets with strong corporate client bases. We chose to partner with Pure Spa due to its expertise in providing essential spa and beauty treatments for busy travellers and locals who want to take just a little bit of time to relax and treat themselves.”
