Gainsborough Bath Spa introduces complimentary Tai Chi and Yoga

Five-star Bath hotel launches new classes to enhance its health and fitness breaks

Well known for its mineral-rich thermal waters, the Grade-II listed Gainsborough Bath Spa has introduced a number of new complimentary exercise and wellbeing classes in its Spa Village, to encourage guests to enhance their physical wellbeing. The spa has created a programme of exercise classes and nutritious menus for guests, which work in tandem with treatments on offer

Tai Chi, associated with wellness, mindfulness, and increased mobility, is hosted on the Chapel Terrace on Sunday mornings. Full body yoga workouts are available on Saturday mornings to improve strength and flexibility, allowing guests to totally immerse themselves in the Spa Village way of wellbeing and relaxation.

Lastly, Aquasana classes offer something more vigorous. Combining both Tai Chi balance and strengthening karate moves, as well as classic yoga postures, the aqua fitness classes take place in the mineral enriched waters of the Bath House, harnessing the health promoting properties of the spa’s natural thermal waters.

Spa Consultant at YTL Hotels and creator of the Spa Village brand, Melissa Mettler, says: ‘Taking a cue from our Roman roots, we are so excited to complement our healing thermal waters in a truly holistic program that addresses the physical body with energy through movement.’
