The aim of the World Wellness Weekend (WWW) is to inspire and empower people around the world to make healthier choices and enjoy an active lifestyle with family & friends.
To achieve this, the initiative relies on the support of an extensive team of Ambassadors and Coordinators who organise and deliver thousands of free, fun & meaningful wellness activities in more than 140 countries. This list of locations now includes Ireland, following the appointment of Tara Moore, Spa Manager at Galgorm Spa & Golf Resort in Northern Ireland, as WWW Ambassador for Ireland.
The 6th edition of WWW will start on Friday 16 Sept 2022 at sunrise in Fiji and continue until sunset on Sunday 18 in Hawaii with more than 4,000 participating venues, enabling millions of people to enjoy free, inclusive group activities, classes, or workshops.
Campaign Founder, Jean-Guy de Gabriac, said: "I am thrilled that Tara Moore has accepted our invitation to join WWW as Ambassador in Ireland. Not only has Galgorm proven over the years to be an award-winning Wellness Champion, making health and wellness affordable and accessible, but also Tara's involvement will encourage more hotels, spas, and fitness clubs in the region to appear on the World Wellness Map. In alignment with the UNITED NATIONS' 3rd Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) ‘Good Health and Well-being for All’, they will showcase their upcoming special events year-round AND organize a fun, free group activity on Sept 16-17-18 during the 6th edition of World Wellness Weekend."

Galgorm will be the host venue for the Spa Life Ireland Convention 2022 from 12th-14th September, so we’ll have the opportunity to share our plans with all the key movers and shakers of Ireland’s wellness community to raise awareness of the campaign to help promote wider participation across the country in the future."
"In the short term, I hope to get as many companies onboard as possible to support the local community and staff teams by encouraging them to take the opportunity to enjoy some much needed time for themselves. Last year Galgorm got participated with a bootcamp on the beach and a dip in the very cold sea afterwards. This year I plan to get all of our properties across the Galgorm Collection involved."
