Germaine de Capuccini pivots business offering to support professional partners

Luxury professional skin care brand Germaine de Capucinni has introduced a number of new initiatives to support their professional partners whilst the industry faces challenges due to unprecedented closures.

The leading spa brand has launched a ‘Treat Yourself Kit’ containing a mix of travel sized and individual use professional serums and masks to give clients a taste of the experience they would normally receive when visiting their skincare expert in the spa or salon.

Designed to assist current partners to maintain provision of professional skin treatments to their client base, four individual kits tackling different skin concerns have been created including Anti-Ageing, Radiance, Hydrating Destress and Balance. The kits can be ordered via the usual trade portal and sent to the business address for distribution or alternatively can be sent directly to the clients’ home.

Supporting visual assets are available for partners to promote the kits via social posts and emails
along with step by step videos to guide end users through the correct application.

The kits also contain a £5 voucher for the client to redeem at their usual Germaine de Capucinni stockist when booking their next facial. Germaine de Capucinni will then reimburse the provider.

In a further bid to assist the professional channel, Germaine de Capucinni are also sending retail orders directly to clients of their existing accounts. Suppliers of GDC can choose to have product sent directly to their client’s home, allowing them to gain the same revenue they would have done if their business were open as usual.

With spa and salon doors closed to the public, therapists and managers stuck at home in lockdown also benefited from online training and webinar events from the spa brand. Following the government’s decision to close all but essential shops to the public, the team at Germaine de Capucinni immediately converted face-to-face product knowledge training to virtual sessions for spas and salons. The brand, who have also partnered with international business strategy consultant Valerie Delforge to run a series of seminars during 2020, have switched all current sessions to webinar modules.

Clare Dickens, managing director of Germaine de Cappucini said “These are such unprecedented and unusual times. To think of all our wonderful spas and salons laying empty and unused is just so difficult to comprehend. We appreciate how tricky a time this is for all of our customers so we’re keen to pivot the way we worked quickly to support our partners as much as we can during this time.”

A luxury box has been donated to the Wellness for Heros campaign by the Luxury Spa Edit and the brand is currently exploring ways to offer a discount for NHS staff via authorised websites. A Spa-cation e-commerce offer will be available for customers ready for the early May long weekend.
