Ground broken on new £10m Carden Park

Ground has been broken on a new £10 million spa at Carden Park in Cheshire. The spa, which will be a separate facility located in the grounds, is on course to open in summer 2019. It is inspired by the hotel’s natural countryside setting.

Carden Park is a privately owned, 198-room hotel set within a 1,000-acre country estate in Cheshire. The spa will be the crowning glory in a £20m refurbishment that’s taken place over the past three years and will welcome both day spa visitors and overnight guests.

Facilities will include an outdoor spa garden with a sensory hydrotherapy pool, hot tubs, fire pits and an outdoor sauna with ‘secret garden’ relaxation spaces plus a central champagne bar.

Inside the spa, there will be a range of thermal experiences, a large vitality pool, ice fountain, snow shower and experience showers. There will be 14 treatment rooms and a beauty lounge offering manicure, pedicure, lash and brow services.

Carden Park General Manager, Hamish Ferguson, says: “Carden Park is constantly innovating to meet market demands and this is a momentous leap forward for the business as we invest in what will be one of the most luxurious spa developments in the UK. We have an incredible team of people involved and I’m looking forward to what will be a very special spa journey.”

The team appointed are HB Architects, Pave Aways Ltd Building Contractors, Barr & Wray Interior Design and Spa Consultant Nicki Kurran.
