Green Spa Network (GSN), the non-profit trade association, has announced Bonnie Baker as its new board president. GSN serves the spa industry in support of action for a sustainable future, with a mission to promote connections between personal wellbeing, economic sustainability and the health of our planet.
Baker, the co-founder of Satteva Spa and Wellness Concepts, has been appointed to the role after a tenure as vice president. Her vacant position will be filled by Thor Holmes, general manager for Osmosis Day Spa Sanctuary. He will also serve as board finance chair.
She says: “Green Spa Network is dedicated to leading the spa and wellness industry in creating long-term, regenerative, life-sustaining practices. With the new leadership team, we’re evolving to meet the growing interest in sustainability and the need for information, resources and expertise. GSN is moving towards a curriculum of events, education and action initiatives designed to stimulate spa professionals into a deeper exploration of the relationship between people and planet.”
Caline Assilian, executive director of Intentional Health & Wellness and Mind Body Spa Director for exhale Spa, has also joined the GSN board.
