GWI Launches PositivelyWell Campaign

GWI Launches PositivelyWell Campaign

In the midst of worries about the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, it's all too easy to slip into fears about the unknown and concerns about the suffering a global health crisis could cause. In light of this, the Global Wellness Institute (GWI) has launched PositivelyWell - a campaign to encourage both the industry, and people around the world to replace fear with a focus on wellness.

Founded with the aim of empowering wellness worldwide, by educating the public and private sectors about the benefits of preventative health and wellness, GWI believe this is the ideal time to encourage family, friends and colleagues to focus on building a strong immune system through exercise, healthy nutrition, stress reduction, smoking cessation, optimism and more.

On the PositivelyWell microsite, consumers and professionals will find optimistic articles on how being positive can lead to better health outcomes, as well as trusted resources on guidance about COVID-19.  Visitors can also find a link to a new section on GWI’s wellnessevidence.com providing medical evidence and studies on how an optimistic outlook is strongly associated with better health outcomes, including positive effects on the immune system and longevity. Operators will also get access to wellbeing leadership strategies for responding to COVID-19 by Renee Moorefield, CEO, Wisdom Works Group & Chair, Wellness at Work Initiative.

While recognizing the extreme seriousness of the pandemic, the GWI believes that this is an important moment to reinforce the self-care/prevention message, and encourage a focus on building a strong immune system.

All GWI’s resources are absolutely free, including its bi-monthly newsletter, the Global Wellness Brief, which will include important insights and information on optimism in upcoming issues.
