The Global Wellness Institute (GWI) has announced an in-depth update of its Global Wellness Economy Monitor will be released at this year’s Global Wellness Summit.

The Monitor researches the $3.7 trillion global wellness economy and will update figures for 10 industry segments. It will include comprehensive, updated analysis on the size and scope of global wellness markets.

Susie Ellis, GWI chairman and CEO, says: “As an organisation, we’re committed to empowering wellness worldwide and believe providing in-depth analysis on every sector of wellness is the best way we can move the industry forward.”

Ellis says that 2018 marks a milestone in sponsorship support for GWI research, with 18 companies underwriting the Global Wellness Economy Monitor. The Moinitor covers 10 industry segments – beauty, healthy eating, wellness tourism, fitness/mind-body, preventive/personalised medicine, complementary/alternative medicine, wellness lifestyle real estate, the spa industry, the thermal/mineral springs market and workplace wellness.

The Summit takes place in Italy from October 6-8.
