GWS launches ‘Global Wellness Collaborations’ to support the industry in tackling the challenges presented by COVID-19 Pandemic

GWS has launched Global Wellness Collaborations - a series of interactive forums to help executives in different wellness sectors stay connected and share new strategies to cope with the fall out of the fast-moving COVID-19 epidemic.

Held via Zoom, these interactive forums allow wellness business leaders from all over the world to honestly share what’s happening on the ground – and to exchange ideas for coping in these uncertain times.

Calls are limited to 40 people, and, on average, people from ten different nations have been on each call. Chatham House Rules apply, so these are “off the record” conversations ensuring executives feel comfortable sharing information and everyone can come away with honest insights on how to better weather this crisis.

Last week the GWS held four very successful, invite-only “conversations”: two for the spa and hospitality markets and two for the fitness and mind-body sector.

This week the topics are wellness at work and the thermal/mineral springs market and next week the forums will cover mental wellness, wellness real estate and communities and how the age of coronavirus is impacting and reshaping these markets.

Future conversations are planned for the wellness tourism, beauty and retail markets – along with other topics.

So many eye-opening, actionable ideas to help wellness businesses have come out of last week’s conversations,” noted Susie Ellis, GWS chairman and CEO who co-moderated the sessions. “One key value is that when you have executives from many countries in dialogue, you get powerful insight from businesses who have weathered other crises (such as in Hong Kong) - or those who are weeks and months ahead of what the rest of the world is now experiencing.”

GWS’ virtual forums are open to all former delegates of the Global Wellness Summit or active Ambassadors of the Global Wellness Institute.
