The DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic has officially opened its new £15m, following a site-wide refurbishment.
The new spa offers a Himalayan salt sauna, a spa pool, a steamroom, ice fountain and a Rasul. There is also a relaxation lounge area, which links to an outdoor Zen and courtyard spa garden.
Product houses are ESPA, Thalgo and Carita.
Built in 1900, the hotel is a landmark in Harrogate and has 100 different mineral water springs. Harrogate has strong associations with spa and, traditionally, doctors would prescribe drinking or bathing in the mineral waters.
Lynn Roach, spa director, says: “We have worked carefully to incorporate the rich heritage of our spa town location, combining this with the latest in beauty and wellbeing and world-class service from our spa team.”
