Home-grown treatments in St Lucia

Home-grown treatments in St Lucia

Jade Mountain St Lucia has introduced a new range of home-grown spa treatments

Each treatment has been created to be as kind to the environment as it is to the skin. On offer at the hilltop Kai En Ciel Spa, each new treatment uses organic produce from the resort’s 600-acre Emerald Estate.

Products including chocolate, mangoes, spices and botanicals are hand-picked and taken straight to the spa, where they are prepared so essential oils can be extracted. Each ingredient is chosen for both its quality and sustainability, and also its effect on the skin and senses.

Spa guests can choose from a selection of home-grown treats including an organic Chocolate Facial, a Mango Body Scrub and a warming black pepper, rosemary and ginger De-Stress Muscle Release massage.

The Kai En Ciel spa already has numerous eco-friendly practises in place, including a rain and river water purification system, a towel and sheet reuse programme and pool water recycling. The treatments are the latest example of the resort’s commitment to import nothing that can be grown or made locally – 40 per cent of all produce served at room Jade Mountain and its sister-resort Anse Chastanet is grown on the shared 600-acre estate.
