i-sopod Doubles Production to Meet Industry Global Demand for Non-Touch Therapies

With spa and wellness operators experiencing a worldwide shortage of staff, demand for ‘Non-Touch’ therapies has reached an all-time high. Google trends further reveal that in 2022, searches for non-touch therapies such as floatation are at breakout levels, thought to be as a result of floatation featuring on Netflix popular TV show, Stranger Things and the increased awareness around the wellbeing benefits of sensory deprivation through floatation.

i-sopod, world leaders in high quality float pods, founded by floatation expert, Tim Strudwick, and owner of sister company, Float Works in London, announces it has doubled production to meet this growing demand and has introduced several new innovations to heighten the user benefits and meet operator sustainability missions. The i-sopod is the first float tank to offer the ultimate in sterilisation using combined Photocatalytic and Hydroxyl Radical technology. This means it has the ability to instantaneously destroy viruses, bacteria and pathogens, and more astoundingly possessing the capability to convert body oil, urea and other organic contaminants back into their harmless molecular form. A new thermal pool cover also reduces electrical consumption by between 20% and 40%.

Recent premium spa operators installing i-sopod include the new Lowry Hotel, Dormy House, Whatley Manor Hotel & Spa, The Retreat at Elcot Park and Ockendon Manor Hotel & Spa in the UK plus Ballykisteen Golf Hotel & Spa in Ireland, Deplar Farm and Northern Light Inn in Iceland.

Announcing its expansion, Director, Tim Strudwick says “We have over 29 years of experience in the floatation industry and are delighted to see that operators are now realising the full benefits of a floatation pod for both their business and their customer’s needs. Our i-sopods are ideally suited for treatment rooms which are not being used, requiring minimal staff time and maintenance. They are also perfect for incorporating into stress, sleep and pain relief programmes, providing that water element in a sustainable way.”

i-sopod is a world leading, high quality, long lasting contemporary floatation device which is easy to use and can accommodate a high volume of users with minimal downtime. Lit with LED spa lamps, i-sopod is hand-finished, customisable by colour and includes a built-in MP3 player and Bluetooth connectivity. I-sopod is completely programmable: Session length, music timing, disinfection and cleaning can be monitored and determined by the remote-control system.
