Irish Spa Association launches

Irish Spa Association launches

A new Irish Spa Association (ISA) has been founded by Spa consultant Peigin Crowley and managing director of Pink Beauty Group, Anita Murray, who distributes professional beauty brands in Ireland.

Created for Irish spa and wellness professionals, the not-for-profit association has been set up to provide educational resources and networking opportunities while fostering professionalism and growth.

Crowley says: ‘Our mission is to improve and enhance the value of the spa experience. We will work together to advance spa culture to sustain health and wellbeing in Ireland.’

The association will focus on four issues affecting the industry –  recruitment and lobbying, including skill shortages, training and insurance; Brexit and providing advice on Brexit preparations for Irish spa businesses; inclusion, and working on getting more Irish spas to treat clients with cancer and other limiting conditions; and future proofing, developing action plans for wellness tourism and sustainability in spas.
