Kohler Waters Spa to relaunch in early 2018

Kohler Waters Spa to relaunch in early 2018

New 25,000 sq ft spa will bring hydrotherapy to the heart of Scotland.

The Kohler Waters Spa at The Old Course Hotel in St Andrews, Scotland, is the only Kohler Waters Spa outside the USA.

As part of the multi-million pound refurbishment, the 25,000sq ft spa has been separated into two distinct areas. One will be dedicated to the guests’ spa journey and the other to leisure and fitness. The spa area will focus on hydrotherapy, offering ‘Salus Per Aquum’ – health through water – with signature wet treatment rooms and Vichy showers. There will be a cold plunge pool, an Ice Fountain and experience showers featuring Kohler Real Rain.

Designed by Sedley place, the extension and refurbishment of the existing space will create 13 treatment rooms, including two couple’s rooms and two wet rooms offering Kohler bathing experiences. There will also be a steam room, a Finnish sauna and a rooftop garden with a hot tub.

Signature treatments provided by Voya and Phytomer will feature natural, marine-based ingredients including seaweed and peat, as well as luxurious rituals, Himalayan salts and aromatherapy from Comfort Zone. Manicures and pedicures will be offered by Margaret Dabbs. Guests can also expect highly customised treatments by the spa’s therapists, as part of the ‘custom time’ menu.

Lastly, the renovation will see the addition of a 20m lap pool, a gym area with cardio and resistance stations, a functional fitness space and a group exercise studio.
