Gresham House Wellness, a boutique botanical spa, will open in the Gonville Hotel in Cambridge in June.
Inspired by Gonville’s gardens and parklands, Gresham House Wellness will include three wellness treatment rooms and eight feature bedrooms. The spa menu has been crafted with ESPA and will include Holistic Total Body Ritual Massages, Optimal Skin Pro Facials and Advanced Body Cocoons, taking guests through a ‘sensory journey’ using botanical scents and sounds.
Prior to the ESPA ‘For You’ Facial, therapists will perform a skin analysis using a SkinVision lamp. A mindfulness massage range will also be available for guests, using breathing and visualisation techniques to reduce stress.
Gresham House is a 180-year-old Victorian villa, which is classed as a building of ‘special architectural or historic interest’ and sits within the Central Cambridge Conservation Area. Gonville Hotel has worked with restoration experts to ensure it retains its period charm.
Edward Adshead, general manager of Gresham House Wellness, says: “We wanted to create a place of tranquillity where locals and visitors to Cambridge can relax and rejuvenate. The Wellness Centre has been inspired by the peacefulness of Cambridge itself and we are working closely with restoration experts to ensure the history of Gresham House is celebrated. We are currently putting in the finishing touches, and look forward to welcoming guests this June.”
