The event, which will take place on 21st and 22nd September, will showcase a series of high profile, inspiring speakers debating the current issues of wellness and how they affect our health and the health of the planet.

The first event of its kind, its launch has generated widespread enthusiasm within the international spa and wellness community, with sponsors and bookings rolling in.

Confirmed speakers include Tim Westwell, one of the founders of Pukka Teas, award-winning journalist and former Vogue editor, Anna Marie Solowij, and performance coach Jamie Edwards who works with international sports stars.

The work Made for Life does to support those going through cancer will be discussed through talks by Thom Hunt, who rose to fame in the TV series Three Hungry Boys, Polly King, consultant oncoplastic breast and skin cancer surgeon, Andrew Anderson, CEO of Maggie’s Cancer Support charity and Marc Innes, Cancer Touch Therapy course lead trainer, will also be hosting a talk on ‘The C Word and Spa — the myths, the truths. How can we proactively bring about change?’.

SpaFest guests can look forward to a blend of education in wellness, and enjoy wellness experiences including lunch provided by internationally-renowned vegan chef Bettina Campolucci Bordi, mindfulness and yoga with leading wellbeing expert Aimee Blackman of Cornwall Yoga Centre and sea shanties and food at Rick Stein’s Fistral, beside the sea.

Spafest will culminate in the FestiBall, a celebration of Life where guests can enjoy music, food and dancing in the beautiful setting of Newquay in Cornwall, overlooking the ocean.

‘Above all, SpaFest is a meaningful gathering about wellness for those running the wellness industry,’ says Amanda Barlow, MD of Made for Life Organics. ‘It will look at people, planet and health and how to apply mindful practice within a commercial environment. All proceeds are going to the Made For Life Foundation which we founded to support those going through cancer.’
