The parent company of Irish destination spa resort Monart has opened a sister property in Poundbury, Dorset – its first venue in England.
The spa was officially opened by HRH The Prince of Wales as it sits on Duchy of Cornwall land.
The Monart Spa has a hydrotherapy pool, sanarium and caldarium, salt grotto, sauna, aroma steam room, infrared cabin and experience showers. Treatments will be provided by product house Pevonia, which also supplies Monart’s flagship spa in Ireland.
It has been created with an ethos of sustainable health and wellness, focused on utilising the best of traditional techniques combined with state of the art technology by brother Liam Anthony and Michael Griffin.
Liam Anthony says: “We’ve researched the very best of traditional techniques, combined with state-of-the-art technologies, to give our guests a health and wellbeing-enhancing spa experience. We’ve focused on creating an environment of pure relaxation where wellbeing is the centre of everything we do.”
Pevonia has supplied since it opened in 2005.
