National Spa Week 2016: Better than ever….and now free to all spas!

In a bid to make 2016 the most successful National Spa Week to date, it is now absolutely FREE for all UK spas, salons and suppliers to be a part of the biggest publicity event in the industry’s PR and advertising calendar.

Taking place from the 31st October – 4th November and with a fresh and friendly creative makeover, FREE registration to the new look website, and lots of new promotional materials for your business, the message of Spa Week 2016 is a bold rally call to the UK public to recognise the health, social and relaxation benefits of salons and spas and the treatments you offer.

‘Spa for everybody and mind’ is the motivation behind the week, and trade body, the UK Spa Association (UKSA), is making it even easier for spa’s and salons all over the UK to get involved and get the word out.

Charlie Thompson, Chairman of the UKSA said:
While we have come a long way in attracting a wider range of customers to spa and treatments, there is still the perception of Spa and Salon treatments in the UK as a treat; a gift one might buy only for special occasions."

“Of course within the Spa and Salon industry we know that our treatments promote physical health and emotional wellbeing on a far more fundamental basis. It’s high time that the Spa industry elevated itself within the public arena as an essential health service that has a great deal to offer in combination with more widely recognised options such as gyms, sports clinics and even counselling”.

Even product suppliers to the spa industry can show support by encouraging your spa and salon customers to get involved

The UKSA believes the Spa industry has far more to contribute to UK health and wellbeing, not to mention the UK economy, if the public recognised spa based treatments as a necessary personal investment.

All that is required of spas and salons taking part in the week is that you provide an incentive in the form of special offers or promotions on a range of treatments designed to encourage potential clients to give spas a try and existing clients to try something new. Obviously the more attractive the offer the more likely you are to draw in new clients and increase frequency of existing clients.

Even product suppliers to the spa industry can show support by encouraging your spa and salon customers to get involved through communications and advertising or even offering special prices on treatment related products for your customers who take part.

Adam Chatterley, Managing Director, Gumnut Systems International, sponsor of National Spa Week 2016 observed:
Massage treatments are just the start of the huge range of beneficial physical and emotional wellbeing treatments on offer in spa’s and salons up and down the country today. The real question is are we shouting about these health benefits enough as an industry to encourage this new group of clients to see what is on offer? The kind of clients who will willingly and regularly invest in health related treatments, if they are confident of the results.”

Adam continued “Gumnut Systems is extremely proud to sponsor National Spa Week 2016 and support this important and powerful message. We are really excited about the hugely reinvigorated consumer campaign which should have real impact this year. We hope to see lots of potential new clients visiting the website to see what special introductory discounts participating spas and salons are offering in their area. For that reason we would urge all spas and salons in the UK to get involved. In the past there was a charge to sign up to the Spa Week website – but now it is absolutely free and literally only takes five minutes. With all the fantastic promotional activity to benefit from this Spa Week we wouldn’t want any business to miss out!

So with FREE registration at www.spaweek.co.uk there is no excuse to miss out this year. Be part of the biggest campaign ever to drive more clients into your business and help them discover all the social, physical and emotional benefits of Spa.
