According to Bath-based luxury skincare brand the Natural Spa Factory, sustainability is no longer just about doing less harm, it’s about doing more good, and their new Christmas Gifting range is leading the way in the spa industry with its sustainable packaging and componentry to support customers to make better choices.
The stunning gift boxes are grown from scratch by the company in just seven days, using a mushroom technology called Mycelium and agricultural waste such as hemp stalks. The material si 100% compostable and breaks down naturally in as little as 40 days, so they can either be dropped into the green waste or planted in the garden. All the dyes are vegetable based and are absorbed naturally by the soil.
Avoiding single use plastic is a key priority for the brand and they are also excited to introduce their new 100% PCR plastic bottles and pumps to the new sustainable gifting range. PCR plastic, which stands for post-consumer recycled plastic, is plastic that is made from post-consumer waste. No new fossil resources are required to produce PCR plastic; the material is made of waste which contributes to the reduction of the CO2-emission relative to standard plastic and it can also be recycled again after use. In other words: it is a circular material and a sustainable solution for customers looking to reduce their environmental impact!
The Conscious Christmas collection features five limited-edition gift sets all of which are designed to offer the best in skincare and body care, along with two new scented candles, bath salts, avocado oil and bakuchiol. Natural Spa Factory sources natural ingredients from around the world and uses formulation technology to create dynamic skincare and body care products.
