New all-natural Khmer Tonics Spa in Cambodia

New all-natural Khmer Tonics Spa in Cambodia

A luxury jungle camp in Cambodia, Shinta Mani Wild, has opened an all-natural spa.

Located in the South Cardamom National Park, Khmer Tonics Spa offers a treatment menu that celebrates Cambodia, using chemical-free tonics made from medicinal plants, herbs and spices all from the surrounding rainforest.

Perched over 1.5 kilometres of river and waterfalls, Shinta Mani Wild has 15 one and two-bedroom tents designed by Bill Bensley to evoke his vision of what it might have been like to be on luxury safari in the jungles of Cambodia with Jacky O’, who travelled throughout the kingdom with king Sihanouk in 1967.

The spa’s two treatment rooms are set high up in the tree canopy offer natural heat healing, a full-body scrub and a detoxifying facial. Guests can also enjoy a river-stone foot massage while soaking in a waterfall pool. Alternatively, guests can experience traditional Khmer healing during a full body massage which uses acupuncture techniques and passive stretching.

The camp also offers a 35m pool and a bucket shower dramatically set up in the canopy next to the river.

Unlimited spa treatments are included in the room rate at no extra charge, and can be enjoyed anywhere in the camp, from the deck of their tent to aboard a custom Bensley expedition boat.

A programme of visiting wellness guru’s offering specialist knowledge and experiences will be launched in the coming months.
