New Athenaeum Spa for in Malta

Malta’s Corinthia Palace Hotel and Spa is to open a new Athenaeum Spa this October.

The new spa marks the final phase of a major refurbishment, which began last year. Inspired by the relaxed charm of the Mediterranean, the Athenaeum Spa has been created by interior designers Goddard Littlefair. The design evokes a sense of calm and serenity that is flooded with natural light.

In the treatment rooms, natural ingredients like salts, honey, oils and botanicals will be used for a variety of therapies in partnership with skincare brand Espa.

Facilities will include seven treatment rooms, a hot area including a vitality pool, sauna, steam room, experience showers and heated beds, which looks out onto a secret garden. As the Athenaeum Spa will sit within the gardens of the hotel there is also an indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi, relaxation lounge and terrace, gym and studio.
