New CIDESCO Partnership

New CIDESCO Partnership

CIDESCO has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India’s Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC), which was set up to standardise the quality of education and enhance the employability of Indian beauty professionals on a global scale.

The MoU means Indian therapists will now be able to obtain CIDESCO’s internationally recognised Certificate in Skincare.

The international standard setter for the spa industry, CIDESCO will establish service delivery parameters across the sector to facilitate uniformity in training and knowledge exchange.

Anna-Cari Gund, president of CIDESCO International, says: “This MoU will help in fast-tracking India’s mission to produce world-class beauty professionals.”

Vandana Luthra, chairperson of B&WSCC, says: “This is a first-of-its-kind initiative in which a Sector Skill Council has signed an MoU with an international body for boosting the global mobility of the candidates trained in beauty therapy.”

CIDESCO has also announced the appointment of Jacqueline Kennedy as Business Development Officer.

Jacqueline’s new role will involve creating strategic educational business plans and travelling the world, inspecting and developing new schools. She says: “What excites me most about working with CIDESCO is meeting new colleagues from all over the world, to exchange wisdom and experience. CIDESCO has been a part of my life for the majority of my career and one of my major goals is to continue to positively communicate the brand values.”
