New ‘Doggy Calm Zones’ at Armathwaite Hall

New ‘Doggy Calm Zones’ at Armathwaite Hall

The Lake District’s award-winning Armathwaite Hall, has launched a new ‘Doggy Zen Zone’, a haven dedicated to spoiling our furry friends. In partnership with PetsPyjamas, the UK’s No.1 dog-friendly travel experts and ADAPTIL, a market-leading brand in dog calming, Armathwaite Hall has expanded its offering to become a fully fledged Woof-Wellbeing Retreat, promising a serene and enjoyable stay for both pets and their human companions.

Upon checking out the place, dogs will instantly feel at home at Armathwaite Hall with ADAPTIL Calm Diffusers placed in all communal areas and ADAPTIL Travel Sprays available at reception for adventures outside the hotel. The hotel’s dog-friendly rooms are equipped with a PetsPyjamas wellbeing guide filled with helpful tips and a curated dog-soothing spotify playlist to lull pups into relaxation. Every VIP (Very Important Pooch) room is situated on the ground floor, providing direct access to patio areas and gardens where even the most spirited pups can stretch their legs and play to their heart's content.

“Heading on holiday is a lovely and enjoyable experience for owners, and we want it to be the same for our canine companions,” says Karen Hanton Co-founder of PetsPyjamas. “We want to continue to elevate the dog-friendly travel experience beyond just a dog bowl and pet bed. By working with Armathwaite Hall on this partnership with ADAPTIL, we are able to create something unique and special for our pets, where the focus is on ensuring they have a calming and relaxing holiday too.”

Nestled on the outskirts of Keswick on the edge of Bassenthwaite Lake, Armathwaite Hall is set within 400 acres of private deer park and woodland.  The estate offers breathtaking scenery and unbeatable walking routes for energetic pooches as well as the Lake for a refreshing dip. For adventurous owners keen on exploring the spectacular mountains and fells of the Lake District with their dogs, guests and their four-legged companions can arrange a guided walk with the hotels expert mountain guide to safely navigate the fells together.

Pups don’t have to miss out on the fine dining experience at Armathwaite Hall either, as the hotel’s A La Canine menu, which has been devised by the hotel’s head chef, is curated especially for dogs’ dietary needs and is freshly prepared onsite using the finest local ingredients. Not only that, but pet parents can order their faithful friend’s food exactly how they like it, whether that be hot, cold, wet or dry. For those canines not used to being away from home, meals can be served in their own dog bowl for a sense of comfort.

Making the most of time together, well-behaved dogs are welcome to join their humans in the Hall Lounge from 10am-7pm daily, creating opportunities for both canine and human guests to unwind and socialise.
