Skincare brand Elemis has officially opened a new City of London Academy of Excellence. Situated on Farringdon Road, the 4450 sq ft, two-storey Academy can accommodate up to 60 delegates per day.
With six training rooms, the Academy also offers a dedicated international training room for small groups and one-to-one training sessions, plus a specially designed retail training room.
Noella Gabriel, Elemis managing director, says: ‘The heartbeat of Elemis has always been education. After 26 years, it’s incredibly important that our delegates are brought into an environment that represents the complete journey of the Elemis brand to its fullest. To be immersed in that environment is key to enabling our delegates to fall in love with the brand. We have always invested more than any other company in educating therapists to deliver the treatment experience to a very high standard with both knowledge of skin and product combined.’
Open to employees and business partners, there is also an edited range of fee-paying courses for general attendance.
Also new for March, the brand has launched Pro-Definition Facial Oil to the market. Created using innovative stem-cell technology, the oil is rich in essential fatty acids and plant stem-cell extracts, which are high in anti-oxidant compounds.
Elemis has harnessed powerful liposoluble compounds found in the Raspberry plant – an active which has demonstrated both short and long term moisturisation. Pro-Definition Facial Oil also includes Himalayan Gentian, a traditional Ayurvedic herb, which smoothes and hydrates, Vitamin E, Evening Primrose oil and Organic Barbary Fig. The combined plant-based ingredients are bound together with a harmonising blend of Clary Sage, Palmarosa and Frankincense.
‘Oil is a woman’s best friend,’ says Gabriel. ‘As the skin matures, oil is vital to keep it well moisturised and hydrated as it layers the lipid barrier, which is essentially the secret to healthy, well supported skin.’
