New look for Titanic Spa

New look for Titanic Spa

UK’s Best Luxury Destination Spa for 2017 reveals itself after refurbishment

West Yorkshire’s Titanic Spa has unveiled the results of its recent makeover. With vinyl real stone walls, blue grass-green flooring and black chiffon grey furnishings, the spa has opted for a modern, trend-setting interior revamp.

The UK’s first eco spa, Titanic worked with Oldham-based Dawnvale, designers of many stylish bars in the North including Titanic Spa’s own industrial style Bar 1911. The Spa has sourced state-of-the-art materials, designed to surprise guests while remaining practical for a spa environment. These include a real stone vinyl wall covering in the Bistro, carpet tiles which give the impression of the outdoors seeping inside, bronzed textured wall tiles and fabrics that change colour and shape as you walk by.

Other additions include a new Mud Chamber complete with walk-in showers, calm lighting and new shadow grey and black contemporary seating and coffee tables in reception. These join the existing heat experience area, Egyptian Mud Chamber, outdoor hot tub, 15m salt-regulated swimming pool and hydrozone.

The new developments follow an 18-month refurbishment of Titanic Spa’s 34 luxury apartments in conjunction with Emma Kay & Co in Ripponden. Set within a traditional textile mill built in 1911, the Spa is located on the edge of the Pennines in West Yorkshire.

Warrick Burton, managing director of Titanic Spa, says: ‘Aesthetics and comfort are vital to the spa experience, so it’s crucial we continually invest in this area at the same time as keeping on trend.  What has been a challenge is carrying out the refurbishment without impacting the guest experience. Running at 98% occupancy and staying open from early morning until late, our interiors contractors have had a lot to do in those midnight hours!’

The company is now in the process of finalising its 2017 refurbishment programme, which will include an upgrade to the Relaxation Lounge and Bean Bag pit, newly furnished treatment rooms and a new high end retail area, which is being developed in conjunction with Titanic Spa’s product house, Elemis.
