New Sensory Spa Garden for Bedruthan

New Sensory Spa Garden for Bedruthan

A new Sensory Spa Garden has opened at the Bedruthan, the award-winning hotel nestled on the hilltop above Mawgan Porth in Cornwall.

Developed by spa director Steph Crosby, the botanic garden has been designed to invigorate all the guests' senses in a one-hour experience, inspired by fire, earth, water, air and space.

Local suppliers were used throughout the garden, including supplying the hot tubs, decking, sauna, willow fence weaving and stone and tile work.

Explaining the creative process behind the new Spa Garden, Steph Crosby said: "I wanted to develop an experience combining the traditional art of spa-ing and the concept of nature bathing. Thermotherapy is the therapeutic backbone to this experience and a more sharing communal feel was also important, being inspired by the motherland of spas, Scandinavia, where it's part of a weekly community routine."
