The inaugural Shine Your Light awards took place last month at London’s Camellias Tea House.
Introduced by Michelle Hammond, founder and managing director of the Spa Business School and tpot, the awards recognise and reward individuals that ‘shine their light to allow the true beauty of the industry to sparkle’.
Hailed as the people’s award for contribution, the awards are for those that give back to their community.
The award for Inspirational Leader – for those that lead with their heart and demonstrate the true meaning of a people-led business – went to Claire Caddick from Tribe 517.
The Inspirational Trainer award went to Marc Innes from Made for Life Organics, for igniting passion and purpose in all he teaches.
Laura Clarke from Cliff at Lyons was named Inspirational Therapist and Elisa Van Oyen from Aspen Spa is Rising Star.
The awards were judged by industry experts Nigel Franklyn, Mark Smith, Paula Perkins, Sharron Lowe, Helena Field, Beata Aleksandrowicz and Michelle Hammond.
Hammond says: “It was an absolute joy to launch the tpot Shine Your Light Awards 2019. The energy in the room was truly electric and made possible by the warmth and authenticity of each and every one involved. The bar for next year really has been set high; I can’t wait!”
