NSF offers a new approach to amenities

NSF offers a new approach to amenities

The Natural Spa Factory is offering spas and hotels a new way to eco-proof their facilitates.

A recent report, published by the World Economic Forum Study, states that if we don’t change how we use plastic, by 2050 there will be more of it in the sea than fish. With this information in mind, Natural Spa Factory had launched new 500ml room amenity bottles.

Wall mounted with handmade rust proof and theft proof etched brackets, the bottles are the spa and skincare brand’s alternative to small, single-use plastic amenities bottles. They are available with the Fig and Vanilla range.

It’s estimated the average hotel room will use 20kg of single-use mini plastic amenity bottles each year – a carbon footprint of around 120kg of CO2 per room each year in line with estimations from www.timeforchange.org. The introduction of refillable, wall-mounted bottles is a step in helping the hotel and spa industry to re-assess its impact on the environment.

Jeremy Smith, Co-Founder, explains: “The cost to a hotel for high-end, spa-quality amenities for guests is vast. But luxury doesn’t have to be extortionate – the Fig and Vanilla collection is part of our top-selling spa body range, used in some of the best spas globally. Cost per guest is around 18p per night. Hotels can also recap the financial rewards from not needing to dispose of the potentially millions of small, single use plastic bottles per site every year.”
