Pridding joins UKSA

Pridding joins UKSA

Emma Pridding, spa and leisure revenue manager of The Spa at Carden, has been appointed as the newest board member for the UK Spa Association (UKSA).

Pridding brings more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry to the role. She joins the UKSA board as part of its benchmarking team, which works to encourage members, as well as non-members, to use benchmarking to gain insight into four key areas of their business: treatment revenue per hour, retail revenue conversion, treatment room utilisation and therapist utilisation.

Pridding’s new role will involve promoting the importance of benchmarking within the UKSA and throughout the wider industry. She will also be responsible for setting the key performance indicators that will be used in the benchmarking process to evaluate the success of an organisation.

Speaking on her appointment, Pridding says: “Joining the UKSA Board is an exciting opportunity for both myself and Carden Park. I look forward to encouraging more industry operators to use the benchmarking service; it goes without saying that the more people who contribute, the more data there is available and more valuable it will be to us all.”

The UKSA’s ultimate objective is to increase market growth for the spa industry as a whole. Its current goal is to increase its own membership base by providing true value for money, both resource wise and financially.
