Q Hotels invests £500K in spa at Glasgow

Luxury Hotel & Spa group QHotels, with an impressive portfolio of 26 properties nationwide, has announced its £500,000 investment in the development and extension of the spa and leisure facilities of The Westerwood Hotel & Golf Resort in Glasgow and the recruitment of at least 10 new members of staff. The new development will significantly improve the flow of the spa and enhance the experience for both leisure guests and golfers.

Following the continuing success of The Spa at Westerwood Hotel, and the spa consistently working at full capacity, the extension and renovation is a welcomed announcement and one that will position The Westerwood Hotel & Golf resort as a leading spa destination in Glasgow.

The investment will see treatment room capacity increase with the installation of three new treatment rooms. A dual treatment room will be amongst these providing a further improvement to the guest’s spa journey. The relaxation area will be expanded, transforming its current capacity of five relaxation beds to up to 30 relaxation beds allowing for a more comfortable and relaxing environment for guests. Following popular demand, the new spa will also see the addition of a Rasul, as well as increased locker space and 24 hour access to its changing facilities.

A pop up restaurant will also be available exclusively for spa guests to enjoy lunch and refreshments, creating an uninterrupted and fluid spa journey.

Work on the development is currently underway and is expected to be fully completed by the end of August 2015. During the renovation, a temporary spa has been opened to ensure all guests are offered an inclusive experience of the facilities and treatments.
