Rock Spa debuts in Davos

Rock Spa debuts in Davos

The Hard Rock Hotel Davos, which opened in late 2017 in the Swiss Alps, has launched the new Rock Spa.

Bringing together spa, fitness, dance and yoga, the Rock Spa will offer a 360-degree approach to wellness, seeking to combine the power of music with an unforgettable wellness experience.

Raison d’Etre was contracted to design and implement the 1,000 sq m spa, which features a series of thermal facilities, including a 57 sq m main pool, a Kneipp Walk Pool, a whirlpool, several saunas, a steam bath and an ice room.

emerginC products will be used in the six treatment rooms. Rhythm and Motion signature treatments will offer guests the world’s first fully immersive music-centric spa menu, utilising amplified vibrations, pressures and patterns. Treatments include the Wrap Mix, a special dry exfoliation that activates circulation, and the Smooth Operator, giving the skin a serene glow.

The launch of the spa complements the hotel’s current wellness offering – an in-room yoga experience called Rock Om. The programme consists of three individual in-room yoga videos that play on Hard Rock’s television systems.

Raison d’Etre project manager, Michael Simonato, says: “Hard Rock is such an iconic brand that it has enabled us to really extend the creativity around Rock Spa while implementing serious but fun wellness experiences. We’re looking forward to hearing guest feedback for what will be a really unique and fulfilling spa journey.”

Hotel general manager, Dagmar Weber, says: “We are delighted to partner with Raison d’Etre and create a state-of-the-art spa. The combination of music and wellness is a unique and exciting movement; we look forward to pairing authentic Nordic experiences with the Hard Rock ethos.”
