Rudding Park Hotel welcomes the return of the 10K Rudding ParkRace

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, Rudding Park has announced the Rudding ParkRace – a 10K multi-terrain trail race – will return on Tuesday 9 May 2023. Once again, participants will get the chance to run a route created specifically for the event, amongst the 18th Century parkland of the privately-owned luxury resort.

This year’s Rudding ParkRace will be hosted in support of former Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease Appeal.

Rudding Park Hotel Manager Nuno César de Sá comments: “Last year’s Rudding ParkRace, started by Olympian and ‘friend of Rudding Park’ Jonny Brownlee, had such a great vibe. We welcomed over 300 runners with their friends and family who came to cheer them on. Rudding House made the perfect backdrop for the finish line where the prize giving took place as guests enjoyed music, hog roast and refreshments as the sun set.

We were thrilled to raise over £4,000 for the Queen’s Green Canopy and this year we are super excited to be supporting Rob Burrow and his family whose tireless campaign to raise awareness and funds to support families living with MND is inspiring. In fact, for those who might be participating in this year’s Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, the Rudding ParkRace is the perfect opportunity for a ‘leg stretcher’!”

Last year’s Rudding ParkRace winner was Nathan Edmonson from Ilkley Harriers with a time of 34mins 25 secs. Second place was Tom Adams also from Ilkley Harriers and a member of the Team GB trail running team, with a time of 34mins 29 secs. Fastest lady was Charlotte Mason from City of York AC with a time of 41mins.29 secs.
