Schmidt leaves Green Spa Network

Schmidt leaves Green Spa Network

Paul Schmidt, who has held the role of Executive Director of the Green Spa Network (GSN) for three years, has stepped down from the non-profit trade association.

Announcing his departure, the sustainability organisation’s board of directors said they felt both sadness and gratitude. ‘During his three-year tenure, Paul provided our organisation with dedicated service, which involved many significant accomplishments, including growing the network to over 1400 members; bringing the Sustainability Assessment Tool (SAT) to market and producing six industry events.

‘We cannot thank Paul enough for the dedication, passion, enthusiasm and motivation he has given to Green Spa Network. He will be greatly missed. We look forward to following the continued success of his career and his ongoing involvement with GSN.’

Schmidt says: ‘It has truly been an honour to serve the greater spa and wellness community through my work with GSN. I’ve been humbled by the opportunity to steward GSN’s incredible vision of vital people, vital planet. Thank you for supporting the heart in our spa community and having the courage to stand for a future we can all live with.’

The GSN is yet to announce a new Executive Director. In the interim, Membership Coordinator Kate Sornson will maintain engagement with the network’s core community of spa and wellness leaders.

Green Spa Network has also announced a date and location for its next industry conference, set to take place 11-14 March 2018 at Carmel Valley Ranch in California, USA.
