Sheraton Full Moon unveils spa

Marriott Hotels has unveiled the completion of a $20 million renovation to its Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa.

Located on the private island of Furanafushi in the North Malé Atoll, the Shine Spa for Sheraton boasts three outdoor tropical fresh water pools. Sitting on its very own island, the spa has revamped and relaunched its spa packages with a variety of new five-star treatments.

The spa features a relaxation room, treatment rooms, a dedicated female and separate male spa area with a sauna, steam room and an outdoor pool. It is set to undergoing furthjer renovation this month.

Designed by Topo Design Studio, the newly transformed Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa now exhibits Maldivian architecture with a contemporary twist, inspired by the surrounding environment to ensure that all aspects of the resort emulate a traditional Maldivian feel.

Emilio Fontini, General Manager for Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa, says: “We are delighted to have completed the renovation programme which has seen $20 million spent on redesigning Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa. As the third eldest resort in the Maldives, dating back to 1937, it is very important to us that we continue to modernise our property to ensure it goes above and beyond.”
