Mayu Spa has opened at Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba, in Peru’s Sacred Valley of the Incas.
The newest Inkaterra organic spa and wellness centre is located in-between Cusco and Machu Picchu.
Inkaterra is a Peruvian organisation that works in in sustainable tourism, focussing on preserving and rescuing Peru’s geography, nature, customs and cultures and sharing them with the world.
The Mayu Spa is inspired by the nearby Urubamba river and traditional Andean architecture, featuring a rustic chic design and picturesque views of the property’s 100-acre organic gardens and peppertree forests. It features a plunge pool, four private treatment rooms and a dry sauna, all immersed in the evergreen mountains and harvest fields.
Treatments include a range of massage therapies, Andean Stone therapy and reflexology. As with all of Inkaterra’s spas, treatments use 100 per cent natural products derived from native medicinal herbs of the region.
